Les paroles c'est pas vraiment académique. John Lennon en disait: "Nous écrivions des chansons à la Everly Brothers, à la Buddy Holly. C'étaient des chansons pop, sans autre arrière-pensée que de créer un son, de faire de la musique. Les textes étaient presque inutiles, ils n'avaient aucune profondeur, aucune importance".

Lennon disait aussi à propos de l'enregistrement du premier 33 tours qui s'est réalisé d'un coup en 10 heures de temps: "À la fin de la journée, on a fait ce petit numéro, Twist and Shout, qui m'a pratiquement tué !"

On comprend, il avait poussé sa voix à fond là !!

La genèse de cette chanson selon leurs auteurs:

"La chanson est composée dans l'urgence à partir d'un accident de langage de Ringo Starr. Il raconte : « On a eu une longue journée au studio, et on a bossé toute la journée puis finalement une partie de la nuit. Je crois que je suis sorti en pensant qu'il faisait toujours jour, et j'ai dit "It's been a hard day…" (« Ça a été une dure journée… »), puis j'ai regardé autour de moi pour me rendre compte qu'il faisait nuit et je me suis rattrapé : … night ! (« de nuit »). On est donc arrivés à A Hard Day's Night », explique Ringo Starr.

Je ne peux évidemment pas mettre ici l'entièreté du répertoire des Beatles, ils ont quand même plus de 200 titres à leur actif en 12 albums ! Mais j'essayerai de ne pas rater trop de "monuments".

En attendant la suite, voyons ce concert live en Australie 1964 dans lequel ils reprennent la majorité des grands morceaux déjà sortis(il y en a même dont je ne connais pas les titres et que je vais devoir rechercher, gros travail !)



Par contre, je n'ai trouvé aucune trace du concert à Paris le 16 janvier 1964...Mais j'ai trouvé une anecdote affirmant qu'ils ont joué le 15 janvier au Cyrano de Versailles !

L'anecdote c'est celle-ci:

"Dominique Chapuy, la fille du directeur du Cyrano à l'époque se souvient : "Les Beatles avaient leur hôtel payé, un sandwich avant (le concert), un sandwich après et deux demis de bière... "

A propos du concert du 16 janvier 1964, j'ai aussi une anecdote, mais plus personnelle. Ce concert avait été annoncé longtemps à l'avance sur les ondes d'une radio française, je ne sais plus laquelle, sans doute Europe 1. Et le soir du dit concert, cette radio l'a diffusé en direct et en intégralité. Avec un copain, fan des Beatles autant que d'Elvis, nous avons écouté ça presque religieusement grâce à un de ces "nouveau" "Transistor" comme on appelait à l'époque les radios sans fils ! Un petit machin mono tout crachouillant qui était saturé du son des groupies, posé sur la table de la cuisine chez mes parents pendant que mon père, allergique aux Beatles, regardait la télé au salon...Né en mars 1952, j'avais donc à ce moment-là 11 ans ! Le calcul est simple: ça fait pile 60 ans ! Fin de l'histoire ou plutôt, de la préhistoire !



Bon amusement. J'espère compléter et terminer ce sujet, mais ça prendra sans doute du temps car la saison NASCAR va bientôt recommencer ainsi que la saison cycliste, ce qui me mangera pas mal de temps et d'énergie. Pitié pour les vieux croutons, merci de comprendre !



Beatles un jour, Beatles toujours.

Je suis au désespoir...Impossible de retrouver le titre de la chanson qui passe à 23'23" sur le live Australien ci-avant. Shazam ne le reconnait pas et j'en suis réduit à tester tous les titres un par un dans Youtube. Echec jusqu'à présent et c'est une tâche fastidieuse.

Un dernier tube du troisième album que je suis très content d'avoir retrouvé ! Je fredonnais souvent cet air à l'époque sans jamais avoir compris les paroles ! Faut dire que je n'avais jamais eu de cours d'anglais, grave lacune...
